DJ D. Martinez is a club & radio Disc Jockey specializing in Latin music.
D. Martinez has been DJ'ing for over 14 years in and around the New England
area. Martinez has also worked as a DJ and sound engineer at various Boston
(MA) nightclubs and various area FM/AM radio stations throughout his career
.
Born and raised in East Boston, Massachusetts to Puerto Rican & Costa
Rican parents, Martinez began his career by making mix tapes for his friends
around the neighborhood. Gradually, Martinez started DJ'ing at house and college
parties honing his unique style.
'D' as he is referred to, has an extensive Disc Jockey and Sound Engineering
background dating back to 1990. Martinez graduated from Northeastern University
with a B.A. in Communications, TV & Radio Production in 1997. He has also
gained technical experience while working for a local Audio Visual company
out of Canton, Ma. Martinez also worked at the Center for Advanced Educational
Studies, (CAES) at the Massachusetts Institute of technology (MIT) in late
1995-1996.
